A domain selling website is usually run by a hosting company, a web agency or a domain reseller. The visitor's path is short and always the same: type a name, see if it is free, compare extensions, pay, and come back next year to renew.
Namora, one of our digital platform websites, is built around that path. Here is what it covers.
Instant search on the first screen
The search box is the product. Namora puts a domain availability box on the home page, so the visitor types a name before reading anything else.
A price table people can trust
The most common complaint about domain sellers is a cheap first year and an expensive renewal. Namora shows a price table with register, renew and transfer prices side by side for each extension, so the yearly cost is clear before checkout. Prices are stored as decimal strings and summed without floating point, so totals never drift by a cent.
Premium names, cart, renewal and transfer
- a premium domain showcase for names you sell at a higher price;
- a cart with live totals as the visitor adds names and years;
- renewal and transfer pages for existing customers.
What a theme covers, and what it does not
Namora is a storefront with 7 pages and a panel where you edit texts, extensions and prices. Each cart, renewal and transfer request ends in an order form in the panel, so you can take orders from the first day and register the names yourself in your registrar or reseller account.
The real availability check and automatic registration need a connection to a registrar, usually over EPP or a reseller API, and availability lookups over RDAP. Customer accounts, payments and DNS management are also backend work. We build these as custom software for your registrar when you need them.
Before you launch
- Choose the extensions you really sell; a short, clear list beats fifty empty rows.
- Show renewal prices as openly as first-year prices.
- Write your transfer and refund rules on the site.
See Namora on the ready sites page, or tell us which registrar you work with.
Questions
Does Namora register domains automatically?
Not by itself. Namora is a storefront: search box, price table, premium showcase, cart, renewal and transfer pages. Orders arrive in the panel. Automatic registration needs an integration with your registrar, which is separate custom work.
Can I change extensions and prices?
Yes, in the panel. Prices are stored as decimal strings, and the cart adds them up without floating-point arithmetic.
Who is a domain selling website for?
Hosting companies, web agencies and domain resellers who want to sell names under their own brand.
